November - The Beta Club met today to plan for its trophy shine. It’s always fun to sit on the floor in the gym lobby and move a little dust off the victory collection of gold and silver and wood trophies. May - A few of us showed up to help the historical society clean up the old Massey Cabin and get it ready for the public. More Dustl June - Fortunately for us. the club has fun times, too. Having a reception for the graduating Betas after Baccalaureate is one of the good times and best of all is the picnic and badgame and fishing we do the last week of school. Everyone seems to be en)oying the convention except Mirenda. 19

A fund raising pro)ect was conducted to help raise money for the mascot project. This elementary class was the class that brought the most Cheer labels. Scotty Wilson. Matt Burchett. Theresa Wiggins. Sally James. Rochelle Summers. Jeremie Keathley. Ross Dowd. Melissa Moore. It has long been a dream of the Student Council to see a display of Conference school mascots on the gym wall. Plans were begun in November of 1982 to make this a reality. Due to the December flood the project was postponed. The 1983-84 Student Council voted to revitalize the project. Dale McGraw, an artist from Marble Hill was commissioned to draw, paint and attach the mascots of the eighth Stoddard County Conference schools around a map of the state of Missouri. The WHS students and especially the Student Council members are very proud of this new addition to the gym.
