FOREWORD Undisputably, curriculum is the root of a school, since Education is what school is all about. But an institution's principle task is not just to teach its scholars; it must also grow, to meet the changing needs of a changing society. This, then, is Woodland High's challenge, and one it has well and ably met, in striving for an up-to-date curriculum and for more efficient methods of conveying it. But, of course, the most modern curriculum would be useless if there were no instructors to pass on their knowledge to others. A teacher helps to mold a generation, giving them answers and reasons for believing. From his desire to help his students learn, he must enkindle them with the desire to learn. He must be their understanding friend and, at times, he should even be one of them. For only then can he build on yesterday adapt to the requirements of today, and prepare for the promise of tomorrow. In this, the Pursuit of Excellence, the faculty of Woodland High has proven itself well.
