When the old man died, he bequeathed his teen-age daughter and business partner, Uncle Aleck, to Larry. Presuming Presuming Charlie to be a small boy, Larry accepted the responsibil- ity. Larry abenated his fiancee, suffered the teasing of his friend Ted, and eventually won a lovely bride, the revamped Charlie who had become Charlotte, a real lady. Even Aunt Fanny was put into her place, and the proud Mrs. Smythe-Kersey was recognized by Uncle Aleck as the former Carrie Smith from Bear Creek Ridge. . Committees The success of the play depended largely on the work of Betty Glenn Griffin, Bublicity Chairmang Bruce Lassiter, Ticket sales Chairmang Nancy Ray Parker, Stage Manager, Irva Liverman, Properties Managerg and Virginia Holloman, Program Chairman. Ruby Brick le and Marie Lcvegrove sold tickets. Mary Alice Edwards, Viva Conner, Edward Futrell, Richard Burkette, and Clyde Futrell assisted in ushering.
