65444 Wietafuy Class Flower: Red Carnation Class Colors: Red and Gold Class Motto: Forward ever backward neverg Let the future be our goal. In 19142 eight of our present class members entered the first grade in Woodland. They were Jodean Covington, Hope Hamrick, Margaret Ekman, Kathryn Hardy, Ward Hardy, Rich Kroon, Patricia Nelson and Wendell Paul. During the next five years these same eight were joined by nine more students. They were Merton Brown, Ray Dettloff, Barbara Karnis, Helen King, Doris Landrum, Bill Orth, Albert Reijonen, Jim Lefever and Warren Synder. When the class of 19511 entered Junior High it had seventeen pupils and gained six more to make a total of twenty-three. The six new comers were Floyd Chilton, John Jolly, Darlene Hall, Ann Gaston, Bernice Johnson, and Roger Turner. The first important event of our high school years was ordering our class sweaters. They were kelly green with white letters. The same year we were initiated and thus became full fledged Sen- ior High students. In our Junior year we presented the play Dangerous Nan McGraw. It was very successful as was our Junior Prom King Neptune's Court. In our Junior year we were joined by six more students, Don Keith, Shirley Darrell, Dave Kingen, Janice Kleinsorge, Helen Kuper, and Lois Vaughn. During the same year our class rings were ordered. Now as we enter our last year at Woodland High we think of our many happy memories as we present Cinderella's Ball, which took place in the fall. We decided not to have a Senior play but many Seniors took part in an all school play Take Care of My Little Girl. As this history is written there are still many happy events to take place. Such as Senior Day and Commencement. Sonja Perala joined us in our final year making a grand total of 30. with these many happy memories behind us and happier ones before us the class of 'Eh bids every one farewell.
