Several slides were shown to provide entertainment at two ol' the tlub meetings, A genuine Latin meal prepared from an old retipe book written in Latin was served at one ol' the members' homes. T. A. meetings. To obtain new robes the members sold magazines and thus received new robes which greatly added to their performances. A select group consisting of approximately twenty- rive girls also participated in the Music Festival at Chico. A select group of approximately eighteen students were able to participate in the fourth annual Music Clinic at Stockton. Some .tctiwities undertaken by the V. I.. S, included coke sales .it the basketball games, the Modesto after- game daziee. a March of Dimes drive which netted 515.650, and food parcels for the needy during Christmas. The Society shewed its school spirit by attending all the rallies and wearing their letter sweaters on Fridays. V. L. S. is the sole organization that governs the Victory Bell.
