Students shuffled ro school on Monday, dressed-down in old grub- bies Tuesdoy found most people participating in the fun by wearing blue ond white. Sprinkled among these clossics were o few people decorat- ed with war poinr. The halls smiled on Wednesday OS students and faculty dressed in their finery ro celebrate Dress-up Day, Thursday and Friday hod hunrvDrous themes — Sweorshirts and stuffed ani- mals and hots-socl-js-shodes, Another competitive event occurred well into one of the evenings as representatives from each doss decorated their respective halls with originol themes and motifs — music blared; crepe paper floored; chicken wire wos stuffed, footprints were toped to the floor, Dy morning the whole school hod been transformed inro o fantasy atmosphere. Another populor event was the annual Powder Puff footboll gome in which the girls met their opponents in a fast moving, challenging football } - 1 % ff 1 2 - m P A gome. Spurred on by mole cheerleaders, the seniors dominated the event by beating the juniors ond the sophomores The week ' s activities culminated at the homecom- ing gome played on Friday nighr omid o cold, pene- trating wind. Always a popular community event, spectators filed into the stonds eorly. This yeor they wore porkos, mittens, scarves and carried heavy blonkets Because of rhe cold, the concession stond ' s hot coffee ond hot chocolate were popular refresh- ment irems. Old friends ond returning groduotes min- gled ond swapped stories of the year.
