Jack Lee Asststttttt ' It is the belief of the school that the ultimate goals and purposes of educa- tion should be the training and development of the whole individual . It is also our purpose to impress upon each individual a respect for and a sense of obligation to the state and society which has made possible our public school system, in turn a part of our American democracy . We further believe that each pupi l should be instilled with the idea he is responsible for passing on to posterity by precept and example the physical, moral, spiritual, social, cultural, and intellectual heritage which has been intrusted to his keep- ing. Since every person is born with certain inherent and potential abilities, it is our duty as educators to help to develop these faculties so the student will become a useful citizen. This is a three -fold duty and privilege of the home, church and school working in close unity, but since it is three -fold, the school must accept its rightful share in this task. We believe that every student should have equal opportunity to learn with- out fear or favoritism and that we create an atmosphere that will not be detrimental to the mental health of the individual . The student should be taught to get along with others and ultimately that he is to take his rightful place in society. We there- fore advocate he be trained as a well- rounded person .
