Athletics If OOTBALL W OODLAKF Vb DIIN UBA their first league game with Dinuba at Dinuba The Fu LFOBI R twenty seventh found the Bantams playing K! laigei school was slated to win but for the flrst few minutes teamwork made Dlnuba look 111 Taklng them bv storm Vtoodlake scored a touchdown on a beautiful cusscross play There was not a Dlnuba man w1th1n ten yards of Homer when he crossed thelr goal line Woodlake supporters well know what an exalted feeling it is to be superiol if only for a few minutes Dlnuba worked hard tor her first touch down and the teams were well matched Here was a tulnlng point ln the game A fatal fumble gate Dlnuba her second touch down and took the winning spirit from our team although the flghtlllg splut remained Vlany a game has been lost because of the absence of the winning spirit This is what harppened to Woodlake but she went down fighting Never agaln during the whole game did she shovs that spirit which pledominated those minutes at the 0119111112 of the game XX OODL-XKI4 VS VIbALLi The game with Visalia was played on the home fleld attel school home Visalia recened and atter a few downs the ball came to our slde We stalled to galn gxound fast but a fumble gave them the ball Visalia expected a hard fight and got it but xt wasnt sufficient to keep them from scormg During the flrst field played 1 splendid game VVhen the whistle bleu fol the sex ond half the line went into the game detelnuned to kill or get killed The hack tield went to pieces and allowed the visitors to pile up the dlsglaceful scou of twentv seven to nothing Harley must have found his old triend ot li'-it wen becfxust they couldn t keep their hands oft each other XX OODLAKF XS FXFTFR.
