SGCCER The Woodhull Preparatory School Soccer Team entered the season as a new team. Aided by the efforts of Mr. Monaco, athletic manager, and Bruce Gettler, soccer coach, the Woodhull battery was worked into a fairly efficient playing machine. On the field, we soon worked our way into second place fsecond from the lastj. The backfield was valiantly pro tected by Battling Bob Dressler, our team captain. On the line, the Kuhn Brothers sometimes struck fear into the hearts of the opposition. They were backed by John Hurricane Hiscock, co-captain, who was later elected to play in the all-star game along with Robert Dressler and William Kuhn. In spite of all the falls and tumbles of the season, only one injury was experienced, and that was a broken arm, The team enjoyed itself regardless of losses, and better results are sighted for next year. KETB LL The Woodhull team looked forward to a promising season with the newly acquired talents, coming in the form of a new student named Dan Callahan, better known as Cal , and a new coach, Mr. Monaco. The team enthusiastically played its way into a 10:0 season. 0 wins and 10 losses. In spite of the continuous defeats and disappointments, the Woodhull team's spirit did not waver. Losing several games by only a few points kept the hope alive that there might be victory next time. The rallying support of the super cheering squad greatly helped the Woodhull attempts. Taking the lossesvwith no apparent loss of interest, the team thoroughly enjoyed the season. A better season is expected next year.
