Science Club The Science Club has been one of the busiest clubs at Wooddale. Under the direction of Mrs. Turner, they have provided Wooddale with a beautiful garden, complete with a fountain and flowers. They also sponsored Wood- dale's science fair which had many winners and sent stu- dents to city competition. At various meetings the club had speakers such as Dr. Dan Claypool from the Chemis- try Department at Memphis State University speak to them. Wooddale appreciates the fine work the Science Club has done this year and hopes to have a bigger and better one next year. Every Science Student Is Invited T0 Participate. 62

Art At Woodclale Swish! A paint brush glides across a palette- ardent Wooddale Art Club member at work painting scenery for the next school play. Crunch! Hands are busily molding wads of pink and green crepe paper into huge flowers. Hours are spent walking through the rooms at Brooks Art Gallery. These are the ways the Art Club is pictured and best remembered. Members of Wooddale's Art Club are tomor- row's Picassos. They provide scenery for our plays and bring culture to the school with their paintings. Wooddale will be enriched through- out the years as long as we have our outstanding Art Club. bl

F.H.A. Stays Busy Who had the most fun at the Christmas party for children from St. Peter's? Teri Pearson, Pat Carpenter. and Pam Aquadro would argue that point with you. And from their happy smiles we would agree that they enjoyed thc fun time as much as the children. The Future Homemakers of America have indeed had a busy and exciting year. At Christmas the girls had a party for the children of St. Peter's Orphanage. Another project was raising funds for the national F.H.A. headquarters, There are also girls planning to attend the annual state F.H.A. convention. During the Open House they staged a bake sale to raise money. With so many outstanding accomplish- ments to their credit Wooddale is proud of it's F.H.A. Club, and hopes the girls will start, an even bigger and more active year next fall. fi Now, now, girls, let's not eat up our profits. F.l'l.A. girls made- many goodies for the bake sale, and they were he- sieged with customers - faculty as well as students. 63
