The study of Spanish gives students the op- portunity to become better neighbors with cit- izens of the many Spanish-speaking countries near us. Mrs. Bourland contributes much to make the study of the Spanish language and culture inter- esting. Students can become more proficient in the use of Spanish through using the language lab. Riddles, drawings and magazines are also used by Mrs. Patterson in teaching her French classes. During meetings of The Chanticler, the French club, only the French language is spoken. Through studying French, the students grow in their understanding of the French language and culture.
