H. S. to begin the great adventure called high school. The officers they elected were Larry Hildreth, president: Iames Gay, vice-president, Ardell Rudi, secretary-treasurerp Bob Hall, sergeant at armsg Charles Gregory and Eleanor Moen, inter-class rivalry chairmen. Mr. Kenneth Thompson acted as their advisor. The Freshman-Senior reception and Rook picnic added interest to their Frosh year. Back to school again in 45 under the able advisorship of Miss Hopkins, with the following officers leading the class: Iames Gay, president, Irvin Zastoupil, vice-president, Connie Coons, secretary, Rita Halter, sergeant-at-arms: Delores Hatha- way and Bob Hall, inter-class rivalry chairmeng 'Hazel Engle and Gordon Kadrmas, student council representatives. A Sophomore skate and the annual class picnic highlighted the year. A great change has taken place in the fall of 47 for the Sophomores are now Iuniors and can be called upper classmen. They elected as their officers Iames Gay, president, Clifford Cannon, vice-presidentg Edith Hove, secretory, Eleanor Moen, treas- urer, Ardell Rudi and Fred LaBonte, student council representatives ,and Theora Brosseau and Bob Hall, inter-class rivalry chairmen. Mr. Elbert Derry and Mrs. Grace Thompson were class advisors. The goal has been reached, the mighty Seniors at last. Foye Harper was elected presidentg Gilbert Stenger, vice-president, Rita Halter, secretary, Sam Anderson, treasurerg Shirley Levens and Bob Hall, student council representatives. Coach Gerald Burnett and Miss Elizabeth Schultz were the able advisors. The class rounded out the year with a play, A Case of Springtime, the Ir.-Sr. Prom, the choosing of the May Queen and a class picnic. On the evening of Iune 3, 1948, the Seniors received their diplomas and bade their fond farewells to good old W. H. S. These four years will remain imprinted in the minds and hearts of these students that marched through the halls of Wood- burn. A new life awaits, good luck class of '48. ...10-
