THE POWERS THAT BE September 1947 came along and with it came Woodburn High's new Superintendent of Schools and High School Princi- pal, Robert E. Lantz and Lester E. Keller. We of Woodburn High also had a new set oi student body officers and Student Council. This Student Council or Board ot Control as it is called in our constitution is not entirely un- derstood by our whole student body, that is, what are its duties and what use is it for. During this school year the Faculty and Student Council worked together on matters which pertained to student govern- ment and activities. We in the Council and the Faculty wish to thank the Student Body oi Woodburn High School tor its fine co-operation with the Council and Faculty. We hope that in the years to come you continue to do so with even more vigor. The way to find these things is to read your constitution. See what the laws of the school are so that you will be able to understand just what is happening in your school. -5-
