Senior Class istory ln the fall of '42 seventy-eight bashful rooks en- rolled in Woodburn High School. With Mr. Hayden as adviser, they elected as their officers Paul Asper, president, lack Murphy, vice-president, Ioan Schuler, secretary, Don Marshall, treasurer, Marvin Laubsch, sergeant-at-arms, Caroline Zuber and Alvoid Zuber, interclass rivalry chairmen. Highlights of the year were the Freshman-Senior reception and a 'lRook picnic. As Sophornores they chose the following officers: Marvin Laubsch, president, Dean Peterson, vice- president, Vidie Kreiger, secretary, Don Marshall, treas' urer, Alvoid Zuber, sergeant-at-arms, La Verna Way- mire and Richard Mason, interclass rivalry chairmen. Miss Genera Dowell was their advisor. As Iuniors and Upper Classmenf' under the ad- visorship of Miss Schultz they elected the following officers: Richard Mason, president, Delmer Kuns, vicel president, Barbara Simonsen, secretary, Duane Shaw, treasurer, Bill Chase, sergeant-at-arrns, Vidie Krieger and Alvoid Zuber, interclass rivalry chairmen. The Iunior year was highlighted by the successful play, Don't Take My Penny, the lunior-Senior Prom, and the annual class picnic. At last they are Seniors with four years of fun and work behind them. The year's officers were Duane Shaw, president, Alvoid Zuber, vice-president, Marilyn Dick, secretary, Dick Mason, treasurer, Delrner Kuns, sergeant-at-arms, Anita Norton and Kenneth Prather, interclass rivalry chairmen. They were ably assisted by their advisors, Mrs. Guiss and Mr. Derry. The main events of this year were the Senior Class play, Brother Goose, the lunior-Senior Prom, and the class picnic. Marilyn Dick was chosen May Queen. Cn the evening of May 29, l946, the Seniors re- ceived their diplomas, The class Was proud of the seven who left school to join the service. They were Gail Collins, Alvoid Zu- ber, Paul Asper, Bill Hall, Carl Long, Iohn Edwards, and Edward Fobert. Good luck, Class of '46.
