MATTISON McKEE BROG Seniaa 014244 ln the fall of '4l, sixty-six bashful rooks timidly but eagerly, entered the portals of Woodburn High School. With Mr. Kenneth Thompson as advisor, the class chose their officers: Marvin Mattson, president, Donna Wengenroth, vice- president, Betty Iones, secretary, Alvin Mohr and Auda Rich, inter-class rivalry chairmen, Christi Chulos, sergeant-at-arms. After the Freshman-Senior reception, the rooks felt quite at home at W. H. S. Their Freshman year was ended with a Book picnic. As Sophomores they chose as officers: Clarence Sauvain, president, Kenneth Reed, vice-president, Betty Iones, secretary-treasurer, Arvella Bean and Earl Mattison, rivalry chairmen. Miss Marie Man- nix was the class advisor. Finally they are luniors and are privileged to be called Upper Classmenf' This year they chose as their officers: Frank Kadrmas, president, Max Omans, vice-president, Arvella Bean, secretary, Eddie Pavlicek, sergeant-at-arms, Delores Ander- son and Dick lennings, rivalry chairmen. Miss Westphal and Mr. Magnuson were the advisors. The Iunior class play, the annual class picnic, and the lunior-Senior prom highlighted this year. Seniors at last. lt is now they stop to realize all the fun and hard work that is left behind them. Under the able direction of Mrs. Guiss and Mr. Derry, the class chose as president, Harold McKee, vice-president, Earl Mattison, secretary- treasurer, Dolores Brog, sergeant-at-arms, Phyllis Anderson, and interclass rivalry chairmen Iuanita Sebern and Clarence Sauvain. The main events of this year were the Senior class play, Happy Days, the class picnic, and the Iunior-Senior prom. Betty Iones was chosen May Queen. On the evening of May 31, 1945, Seniors marched to receive their diplomas. The class was very proud of the boys that left for the service of their country. They were Dick Iennings, lames Gregory, I. C. Hammond, and Dick Moon. The best of luck to you, Class of '45.
