TRACK When the call for track was issued, Coach Iiggs Burnett found only tour lettermen returning, During the early part ot the season these tour bore the brunt of the work, usually averaging about thirty points between them. The tour were senior Bruce Nelson, pole vault, discus, shot, broadjump and relay, juniors Bill Austin, shot, discus, and javelin, and lohnny Mills, mile, and sophomore Dick Mason, 220, 100, javelin, and relay. Coach Burnett has been giving track instruction in the physical education classes, and has uncovered new talent to bolster the team. With the lettermen and new men coming up, the Bulldogs stand a good chance in the league meet to rise above the third place berth they have consistently won during the practice league meets.
