Miss Hettinger and Mrs. Cone were appointed as class advisors. Officers for that year were: Ira Rich, presidentg Geraldine Snith, vice-presidentg Mary Jane Dunn, secretaryg and Ada Claire Renn, inter- class rivalry chairma.n. The most outstanding events of the year were the freshman-senior reception and the winning of the interclass rivalry cup. In the second year, the fifty-five was increased to eighty-seven, the largest en- rollrrent in the school. Advisors for this group were Miss Goodale and Mr. Carlson. The class officers were Paul Halter, presidentg Richard Racette, vice-presidentg Donald Warring, secretaryg and Ada Claire Renn, inter-class rivalry chairman. The outstanding point of the sophomore year was the membership of six of the sopho- more boys in the lettermen's club. When school started in 1938, the juniors class had eighty-six students enrolled. Advisors were Miss Savage and Mr. Johnson. Class officers were: Floyd Mattson, presi- dentg Robert Renn, vice-presidentg Donald Warring, secretaryg and Ada Claire Renn, interclass rivalry chairman. The outstanding events of the junior year were the presentation of Girl Shy , and the junior-senior pran. At the beginning of the final year, the doors were opened to seventy-one students. Class Advisors were Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Guiss. Officers were Geraldine Smith, presi- dentg Paul Halter, vice-presidentg Edith Pelto, secretaryg and Ada Claire Renn, inter- class rivalry chairman. The senior class of do was the first class to sponsor senior day in Woodburn High School. It was highly successful and proved to be educational also. The Senior class play, Charley's Aunt , was received by the public with many cun- pliments. Finishing four years of activity in high school was the prcm given by the Juniors in honor of the graduating class. Throughout their four years of high school the senior class of no has helped to keep up the school spirit of the school, and now as the doors close on their last year of high school, they remember just a little sadly that they can never again return as active students of dear old W, H, S, sv'
