FAIR Y TALES Nick Shevchenko will be campaigning for Senatorship or even for Presidency. Who knows? Lowell McLellan will be sporting the new title Dean of Penn Statef, breaking a world-wide record as the youngest Dean in the history of the world. Donit be surprised if Donnie LaPenta succeeds Fred Astaire in the .motion picture and theatrical field as the greatest dancer the public has ever seen. jack Gardner will leave the beauteous state of New jersey and make Texas his new address. He will be one of the most successful ranchers in the state. Roz Pfiefferis photogenic features will probably make her the No. 1 Cover Girl in the United States. Vera Vague will retire to let the up-and-coming comedienne, Millie Habich, take her place on the Bob Hope show. The masterpieces of Doris Paulin will be hanging in art galleries all over the world. Her name will go down in history as one of the greatest artists of America in the 20th century. Peggy Hyers will buy Bing Crosby,s race track and horses. That girl has horses in her blood. Lorraine Malinowski's blonde crowning glory will be advertising shampoo. Lucky Edna Huber will be modeling the thing dear to every femme heart-clothes. The baseball ability of Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth will be surpassed by our own Vic Tippy Pocklembo. Thousands of people all over the world will tune in to hear their ace news commentator, john McClure. Ben Den Bleyker is discovering that Avenel is too small for him, so hels packing his bag and migrating to California to stand on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. Red Skelton is a has-been. Bob Burrows is rapidly taking his place. The people went wild over the new concert pianist who made her debut at Metro- politan Opera House. She was none other than our own Doris Clausen. Girls' basketball has become a delightfully popular sport. Marie Stumpf is showing her excellent athletic ability by capturing both the fielding and batting honors of the National American Girls, League. Tex Beneke and his Orchestra is stepping out of first place so that the ever-so-popular Bill Wiegers and his Orchestra may take over. Ray Holzheimer has established a music school in New York City, and people are simply raving about his expert instructions. Threatening the popularity of Fibber McGee and Molly are Jessie Miller and Mr. Donald Xllfescott. Betty Wohlert will pick up where Florence Nightingale left off. Since there is nothing left for jack Benny to brag about, he is bowing out to let Bill Ridyard take a crack at it. 75
