It Will Happen This Wa . . . My son and I are now deep in the midst of the infamous tradition of spring cleaning. Come on now, Iunior, you either get that clean- ing done or you can't see Milton Merle on tele- vision tonight. Say what's that you're reading, anyhow? Aw, it is just some old book with a lot of funny pictures of people. I think the name on its cover is the 'Dial.' Yeah, that's right. Bring that over here, and I'll show you some of the people that are making this world famous. Now, here is a picture of Evelyn Buck. As I recall, she won the 1950 Weight lifting championship. Anyhow, she finally settled down and married some Army captain. Bob I think his name is. Here,s Bob Bartole, you know, that lawyer in the Rox-Stone case .... As I remember, he also played the piano. This is Gus Bickert. He revolu- tionized the profession of dentistry when he made the announcement that teeth will be non-existent in a few more years because of the use of bubble gum. That's Gil Blair over on that page. Yes, sir, he made a million dollars when he discovered that cows would give 401, more milk if the farmers wore woolen gloves. You see, he used to be called 'old icey lingersf These boys, Kadlec, Canning and Helma, are the 'guns' in the Moonachie Development Corpora- tion. You know, the company that with the aid of Mel Gallow's Cavalry bought Moonachie back from the Indians. Last I heard, Lucille 'Priscilla' and Betty Lou 'Safeway' Breeze were secretaries in charge of Domestic Relations. Poppa, who is that? That, son, is Douglas Milne, THE richest man in the world. It seems that he built a better mouse- trap and the world beat a path to his door. Say, that reminds me. President Purcaro is making a speech tonight along with vice-president Thunell. Remember they won the recent election on ' a new Chevvy in every garage and a bow tie on every collar' ticket. I think they have Anthony Vara, Iohn Vandervoort, Patsy Fiorito, and Barry Clarke in their cabinet. Anthony's in charge of the ASLP anti-trust suit with the help of F.B.I. man Fiorito and Secret Service Agent Vandervoort. Clarke just finished a Congressional investigation on the habits of migratory birds. Oh, that reminds me. Ambassador Cox and his wife, Madame Mary Mitchell, recently returned to this country from his post in England. Speaking about government matters, the Department of Teacher Education granted a trillion dollar loan to Bruce Wolf's col- lege out in Oshkosh. That is the place where Pro- fessor Ioe Trause is lecturing on 'Women and Their Effect upon Societyf If my memory serves me right, he is taking some evening refresher courses with Ioyce Spadola, the country's noted interior decorator. Here is a coincidence, Ioe Mahlbacher and Robert Leipold both went to the Du Barry Suc- cess School where they graduated with honors. Ice now plays professional football with the Winsoki Winless Wonders, and Bob is nursing trees out in Oregon. This is Iay Kelleher, who is now giving a nation-wide lecture on the 'Ukulele as a Concert Instrument., His tour is booked solid with the aid of Carl Ginex, his 'Latin lover' agent. Ginex, it seems, is currently thrilling the heart of Dee Lea- man. Speaking of love, I have just learned Ierry Streichert and Lois Hicks have scored a home run with their fourteen little 'strike-outs.' Well, of course, you know that glamorous 'deb' Ioyce Leigh married millionaire Milne. Then too itis no sur- prise that Robert Schuhmacher has his six charming daughters helping him run his physics laboratory. In the medical profession we have Dr. Richard Erickson, who is currently thrilling Marie Impe- riale and Nurse Muriel Stevens, who love to take care of Captain Charlie Hillenbrand when he comes home seasick. Myrna Wright is also mar- ried, but she still gets her dander up and goes down to Washington to 'tell those Congressmen a thing or two., Naturally Congressman Bob Nolan takes care of her complaints. I am sorry to state that Banker Dave Iudson hasnlt been doing too well on the market lately, so he has had to pay more tha none visit to psychiatrist Dolores De Marco. In other fields Mae Lohman has been a success- ful novelist along with Dot Trehou and Barbara Howlett. Bob Robinson and Lita Rollins are cur- rently starred in Life with Mother-in-Law, a comedy written by Ioe Oliva and playing at Ron- ald Rebele's theater. Down the street we find Iulia Holmes starring in Ronald Haak's 'I Must Go Where the Swamp Girl Goes' accompanied by Rose Marenzana on the piano. On a world tour, representing the 'Fire and Brimstone Society,' are Barbara Gilbert and Lorraine Pettersen, who I hear are wowing them in darkest Africa! Another member of our class who proved that things were nifty in fifty is lack Ryff, who is searching for the lost chord. Incidentally, I hear that C.P.A. Porfido is having a tough time keeping track of Eddie 'The Groaner' Dudas' income as a singer. Then too 'Sam Spade, Gallow is on the trail of 'Poochie' Bruckman, who is being sought for blowing up aspirins and selling them as marshmallows. The girls did all right too. That's a picture of Ioan McClure, Beth Reilly, and Nancy Roland. They teamed up together and now control the 'bicarb' concessions at all the big dinners. And say, did you see producer Will Iennings' latest picture 'Smellboundf starring the new rage in male stars, William Richards? Ioan Nieman is chief ward- robe director at K. H. U. CKreh-Hart-Uglionej studios. It seems that Roger Kreh hires the ac- tresses, Vincent Hart builds the set and Hugo Uglione does the publicity. And say, did you read Mary Lou Hiller's latest novel 'The In-Laws'P I heard it was banned in Secaucus. It's terrific. Well, Iunior, that is the end of the book. PAUL O. SICHERT
