Members helped with both high school and junior high pupils. New members received pins at the formal initiation held during an assemble. Honor letters were presented to outstand- ing graduating seniors for their scholastic achievement. New Student Council Sponsor, Mr. Wil- liam Morse, tried to encourage the stu- dents to voice their opinions in school matters. Creating student interest in pep sessions, longer grading periods, and stu- dent activities during and after school were all part of the Student Council's concern. Dressing dolls and decorating Christ- mas stockings for needy children were two of the services performed by the Red Cross Council. Other projects included con- structing and filling an overseas chest, participating in the disaster drill, a Valen- tineis party, and delivering Red Cross posters to Fountain Square businesses.
