French lub sponsors the winnin float at Homecoming Highlighting the year's activities for the Spanish Club was the building of the Homecoming float, a pinata Christmas party and a speaker from another school advising the students of career opportuni- ties using Spanish. Spanish Club o fficers are Debbie Spacke, president, Greg Burr, vice-presi- dentg Bobbie Morris, secretaryg Wanda Ross, treasurer. French Club collected a first place the first time they entered a float in a Home- coming parade. French Club collected food and made a basket for the needy. Leaders were President, Mike Hadeng Vice-Presi- dent, Lisa Stoneg Secretary, Denisa Wilson, and Treasurer, Carol Charles. Promoting interest and knowledge of France, the people and the customs are the goals of the club. Better opportunities for gaining know- ledge of musicianship may be acquired in Girls' Goldenaires and Boys' Concert Club. Both organizations serve as beginning chorus groups for learning basic choral harmony. After serving their internship, singers are selected for Senior Choir or Mixed Ensemble. Service clubs participate in communit action Key Club members that attended the National Key Club Convention in Miami were Bob Sutton, Tom Haynes, Richard Kraft, and Bill Bergman. A program was started by the club to help teacher with yard and housework. Cleaning attics and basements helped teachers who could not manage the job themselves. Tri Hi Y Club has been busy with activities ranging from sending Christmas cards to boys in Vietnam to a splash party at the Y.M.C.A. lnformalinitiations were held in November and a formal initiation with candles was held in March. Before being initiated the girls must be a Sopho- more, have a good attendance record, and hold a C grade average. Executive board meeting is held by the officers of the Key Club.
