State leadership conferences high point for cluhs ii .f. i-5I'-L SCIENCE CLUBfRow One-R. Andrews, D. Lambert, P. Conover,G. Conover, S. Crittendon. Row Two-M.Crosley, R. Holman, J. Hardwick J. Halfaker, Miss Janice Clark. Row Three-D Burr, V. Tookes, D. King, T. Howard. Row FoureD. Rigdon, R. Kraft, C. Shamblin, P. McClure. Demonstrating the correct way to use the slide rule to Science Club members is Charles Shamblin. Club activities for the students enrolled in Cooperative Office Education, Distribu- tive Education, and Industrial Cooperative Training classes ranged from representing their school at the election of state offi- cers, participating in state leadership con- ferences, and contests, and holding an Employer-Employee Banquet. Members of the related clubs raised money to finance trips to the contests and the Employer-Employee Banquet. Slide rule practice, experiments, science fair projects, field trips, meetings, con- tests, election of officers, and special guest speakers highlight this year's plans for the Science Club. Seminars and films are a part of the weekly meetings held by the Science Club. Deserving members receive awards for out- standing membership, personal develop- ment, and completion of requirement of club rules. A 2 2 1, 7 l i X ?
