4 In a woodland may be found many paths. Some lead from homes nearby, some from busy thoroughfares, and others from the solitude of the encircling trees. Then suddenly all converge and just one leads on to a central spot of interest. So it is at Wood High School. Here there are many paths to follow. Some students take a straight academic courseg some the way of fine artsg a more general path is marked by othersg and finally, there are those who launch upon the varied occupations available here. Democracy means free choice and here democracy reigns, for people are the first and most important factor. Every individual who sets foot upon these paths determines the school's future as well as his own, for his success or failure will always reflect upon his alma mater. Therefore, when these paths converge upon the highway of life, may all who have passed this way agree that following the pathway of education has led them to a good and happy life. -3-
