Anemone Staff The four people in the picture were just a small part of the real Anemone Staff Al most every person in the senior class and many members of the other classes helped make the book what it is Mr Scott was a great help to the Staff in that he had already had some experience in publishing a year book However experience wasn t the only thmg lacking in most of us But when the Anemone was completed we all felt that we were a little wiser as well as relieved and if no one else appreciates the work it took to make the book we do The Stafl' Glee Club The Glee Club consists of thirteen high school chorlsts Under the direction of Mr Brugger are two bass three tenor four alto and four soprano singers Fach morning the students vocalize to tone their voice Then they practice various songs These songs after being learned may be sung at any of their public appearances The chorus entertained the high school assembly and furnished entertainment be tween the acts of the Junior Class Play They sang I ve Been Workin on the R111 road Cornfield Medley and others At concerts the chorus sang Sylvia Sm1l1n Through The Lost Chord and In the Evening bv the Moonlight The last appearance of the chorus was at the Tipton County Music Festival which is held each year in the Tipton gymnasium Here were gathered together all the choruses in our country schools and other musical groups Group Assembly The assembly which is supervised by a teacher every period IS the study room in which every student spends his open periods preparing his activities The assembly seats all students from the Seventh grade to the Twelfth The llbrary which is under Miss Leisure and her associate staff is located at the south entrance to the assemblv New books were added this year for individual study guides emoyment and education Sunshine Society The Sunshine Society has been a thriving organization this year in helping to make Windfall High a better and more interesting school in which to live. Miss Clark the sponsor has helped to make the society the organization what it is. There are forty members. The society is open to freshman sophmores juniors 'md seniors. The officers are as follows: President Eileen Hobbs' vice-president Rosemary Warner' treasurer Frances De Witt' recording secretary Betty Jo Graham' corres- ponding secretary Ellen Simms. The society sponsored a skating party and sold emblems to make money for the pur- pose of sending two girls to camp. These girls are chosen by the work they do in the society by the teachers and by their work in the community. Last year Eileen Hobbs and Louise Johnson were sent. The camp is Camp Tecumseh along the Tippecanoe River near Delphi. The camp period is ten days. This goes to show that when forty girls get together their ability to accomplish is unknown.
