lass istory 'fx At last we have reached our goal and look back to our years of school life. We will relate some of these events to you now. As Freshmen, we had a membership of thirty. Bethany pupils joined our class that year. Our activities consisted of a Christmas party and other home- room activities. The following were elected to ollice during our Freshman term: President, Sherwood Garrett, Vice President, Merle Gordon, Secre- tary, Gloria Oberlyg Treasurer, Anna Schwartz. As Sophomores we sold booster buttons and hats. We also had a hayride to round out our activities for the year. The class roll for our Sophomore year was thirty-three. Class officers were: President, Sherwood Garrett, Vice President, Richard Troutmang Secretary, Gloria Oberlyg Treasurer, Anna Schwartz. In our junior year, we organized a blanket club with 385 members. We held two dances. One was the junior Prom with its big attraction, the crowning of the Prom Queen, Betty Hess. Music was furnished by Steve Baer's orchestra. The queen was crowned by Steve Baer. The other dance was the Mid Year Dance with music furnished by Harold Harrington. Our class play was So Help Me, a comedy in three acts. Twenty-five pupils formed the class roll that year. Officers were: President, james Aumang Vice President, Phillip Raihlg Secretary, Gloria Oberlyg Treasurer Anna Schwartz. At last we are Seniors! Twenty-four pupils under the guidance of Miss Baer. The making of the yearbook of '49 was under the supervision of Mr. Gibson. Our Senior year led us to realize that through co-operation we obtained the best results. It has been a struggle to gain our goal, but we have our eyes set for the future and shall continue to strive for higher goals. We were directed by these oflicers: President, Hans Goschg Vice President, Phillip Raihlg Secretary, Gloria Oberlyg Treasurer, Anna Schwartz. Our class oflicers, from the Freshman year to our Senior year, did their best to make our years of high school a success. Our class colors are blue and silver, our class flower the Gardenia. We wish to express our appreciation to the teachers, parents, and pupils, and the townsfolk who helped and patronized the class in everything we undertook.
