Her pastime consists of reading and playing the piano. Her favorite subjects are chemistry and English. Glenna intends to be a nurse when she graduates. Longie has a great love for arguing no matter what the subject is. Don is a great athlete participating in base- ball and basketball. Ruth Louise Nicholas COMMERCIAL This attractive Bethany girl joined us in ninth grade. Her typing ability has been an asset to the yearbook staff and her silly laugh has kept the class spirit up. She loves to play tennis and swim. In the future, Nicky would like to become a medical secretary. Regardless of what she undertakes we wish her lots of luck and success in the future. Chorus-3, 4 Science Club-1 Class Play-3 Operetta-2 Wynn Schenck Herbine COMMERCIAL Wynn joined us in his eighth grade year. Being one of the few male stu- dents in the Commercial course, he never finds a dull moment. A basket- ball game is never complete without his cheering. His short stature and good humor make him an asset to the class. Wynn is uncertain as to what occupation he will follow after gradua- tion. After she graduates she hopes to become a typist. We wish her success and the best of luck in the future. Phillip Richard Raihl COMMERCIAL Phil has been with us since first grade. He has been an active member of the basketball and baseball teams. Whenever you hear noise coming from bookkeeping class you can be sure that it is Phil. His interest lies in a certain blonde in the Sophomore class. After graduation Phil plans to enlist in the service. We wish this redhead lots of luck and success. She appears to be the quiet type but whenever you hear a hearty laugh or a silly giggle, you can be sure it's Norma. Norma has two hobbies, writ- ing letters and collecting photographs. She is especially fond of popular music, her favorite orchestra leader being Vaughn Monroe. Norma is very interested in her commercial work and would like to get a position as an office worker after school days, so here's wishing her lots of luck and success. Color Guard-3 4 Chorus-3, 4 William David Schwartz ACADEMIC Bill is one of the few who has been with our class for twelve years. He has been an active member of the High School band for six years. He is a great baseball fan as well as playing it for two years. Basketball rates next to baseball in his estimation. He has participated two years in this sport.
