Jeanette Mae Miller COMMERCIAL Jeanette has been in our class since first grade. Although she is quiet she is a lot of fun and is well liked by her classmates. Her favorite pastime is eat- ing almost anything. Jeanette is look- ing forward to being a stenographer. She has taken the commercial course which prepared her for this job. Mfe all wish her success and happiness in the future. Y-teens-2, 3, 4 Chorus-3, 4 Hans Henry Gosch, jr. ACADEMIC Hans joined our class in fourth grade and became well liked by class- mates. He is a very active member of the class participating in everything possible. In his senior year, he was president of the class and vice presi- dent of the W-Club. I-Ie has partici' pated in sports and is varsity material on the basketball team. Although un- decided about his future we wish him luck and success. As a friendly and cheerful mem- ber of the class, she has won the honor and 'respect of her classmates through her many accomplishments. She takes an active part in the Y-Teens as presi- dent. Better known to the class as Tootg Gladys seems to say very little about the opposite sex. She intends to be an elementary teacher. We wish her success and the best of luck. !Betly jane Hess , COMMERCIAL Here's one of the beauties better known as Hessy. She joined us in her Freshman year and came from Bethany. Betty who can always be de- pended upon for a joke and a laugh, has her greatest interest in a certain junior. Her favorite pastime is col- lecting photographs. She expects to go to school in Washington, D. C. to be a receptionist. So here's wishing her success and happiness in her future years. He plays the clarinet and is one of the student band conductors. In sports, his ability was on the basket- ball and baseball team. He has taken the academic course through high school, and we wish him the best of luck and success in whatever he un- dertakes. Ruth Louise Nicholas COMMERCIAL This attractive Bethany girl joined us in ninth grade. Her typing ability has been an asset to the yearbook staff and her silly laugh has kept the class spirit up. She loves to play tennis and swim. In the future, Nicky would like to become a medical secretary. Regardless of what she undertakes we wish her lots of luck and success in the future. Chorus-3, 4 Science Club-1 Class Play-3 Operetta-2 Wynn Schenck Herbine COMMERCIAL Wynn joined us in his eighth grade year. Being one of the few male stu- dents in the Commercial course, he never finds a dull moment. A basket- ball game is never complete without his cheering. His short stature and good humor make him an asset to the class. Wynn is uncertain as to what occupation he will follow after gradua- tion. The class of '49 wishes him luck and success in whatever he undertakes. She has been taking the Commercial Course with typing as her favorite subject. Gloria has been the efficient secretary of our class since eighth grade. She is lone of our varsity cheerleaders. After she graduates she hopes to become a typist. We wish her success and the best of luck in the future.
