Class History In 1934, twenty-three pupils started up the ladder of success under the careful supervision of Miss Snyder. Our first six years were spent learning the three R,s and also learning to co-operate by participation in the various operettas such as Polly Make Believel' and The Autumn Queen. Seventh and eighth grades ran fairly smoothly, with some struggling here and there. Our ninth grade was greatly increased by the addition of pupils from Bethany, Host, and Rehrersburg. We passed through tenth grade in a hurry and started our Iunior Year with an enrollment of fifteen, which was decreased to fourteen when Luke Keppley joined the Navy. At once, we started thinking of ideas to earn money, which began with a Blanket Club, followed by two dances, chancing off of a turkey, and of course everyone will remember our class play, Laughing Gas. We entered our Senior Year with the regular fourteen pupils, and eight new ones, under the supervision of Miss Meyers. Our activities were two dances, a magazine campaign, selling of Christmas Cards and our class play Full of Youthf, Everyone in the class has been very co-operative in our activities under the leadership of the following oilicers: President . . Sylvia Kiphorn Vice President . . Iohn Fetter Secretary . . Norida Krill Treasurer ....... . Leah Deck Our class colors are Maroon and Gold, and our class Howers are Red and Yellow Roses. We wish to express our appreciation to the teachers, parents, pupils, and the townsfolk who helped and patronized the class in everything we undertook. To you dear Alma Mater, we wish success and good fortune, and may you always follow our class motto, Climb though the rocks be rugged. Class Historians LEAH DECK DELURA KOLBAY

ROBERT 'CHARLES ANSPACH Bob This lad entered our class during our last year. His partici- pation in activities made him a popular boy throughout the school. He did a good job in piloting the senior team in their magazine campaign. Wherever Bob is, there you also find lots of fun. Bob always has a smile on his face six inches long, but his studies are never neglected. As to his future, it is uncertain, but whatever he undertakes, the Class of Forty-six is always for him. We all wish you success and the best of luck, Bob. Class Play 4. MERRITT FRANCIS AUMAN Squirt Squirt is one of the few who have been with our class for twelve years. He was an active member of the basketball team and band for four years. Squirt,' is always ready to make a bet on any kind of a ball game. He is a willing worker and cooperates to the fullest extent in Class Activities. He should be a great asset to the U. S. Post Office Department, if there he decides to stay. We wish him lots of good luck and success in whatever he does. Band 1, 2, 3, 4. Basketball r, 2, 3, 4. Class Play 3, 4. Chorus 4. PAUL HERBERT MONROE BENNETHUM Pauly This starry-eyed boy of the Senior Class has been with us ever since the first grade. His participation in sports and class activities throughout his high school career made Pauly a popular fellow. You can ask numerous girls about his pleasing personality, for Pauly has inspected the feminine field for quite some time. Although he is not as good as Bing or Frankie his excellent bass voice has helped out on many occasions. His ambition is to become a Commercial teacher and so here's wishing him luck. Basketball 2, 3, 4. Chorus r. Band I, 2, 3, 4. Class Play 3, 4.
