Teacher Highlight Focusing on Devotion Mrs. Jinky Hicks, Wolfson 's student activities di- recton is an exemplary teachen Her enthusiasm, dedication, and support can be equaled by fem As well as teaching English I M she heads peer counsel- ors and student council. She has worked on many committees including the Say No to Drugs program and the Grief Counseling Program. In past years she has sponsored Wolfson 's award winning cheer- leaders. She keeps long hours, as she goes beyond the calls of duty of her job. During the Homecoming Week she can be found on campus, morning, noon, and night-supervising the street dance, rooting for Powder Puff, helping to produce the Wolfhowl, and directing the homecoming pageant. Homecoming week is merely an example of Mrs. Hicks' service. She also chaperones dances, Grad Nite and attends school programs and sports activities. Focusing on Dedication Those associated with WoUson Senior High School are a proud group. Teachers, administrators, parents, and students know that WoUson represents education at its finest. WoU'son surely is a model school within a model school system. All areas of school lU'e are above the average-the sports program, the music program, as well as the scholastic program. Wolfson High School is a smoothly run organization with many credentials. Consistently the school has housed prize award winners, Nation- al Merit Finalists, top ranking Brain Brawl teams, and math and Foreign Language Field Day winners. Presently at WoU'son, there are 10 advanced placement classes offered. A prestigious 32 seniors at Wolfson have maintained a 4.0 grade point average thmughout their years at Wolfson. 7795 of WoU'son students plan to go on to college following graduation. The high standards met at WoU'son are achieved because of the high standards set by the principal, Mr. David E. White. Mr. White directly oversees every aspect of school lU'e and strives for perfection. He sets an impressive example by others to follow. He is typically the first to arrive in the morning and the last to leave at night. Mr. White does not keep a five day week, as he can commonly be found in his ofice regardless of the holiday or the day ofthe week. Mr. Whites fierce pride and dedication has been the driving force behind WoU'sons steady rise in prestige.
