LAHS Corliss Brown Qpicture lj, the first person to receive the honor of National Achievement Scholar at Wolfson Sr. High, took the PSAT and ranked in the upper 9096. She sent in an application and was chosen. To qualify, a person must rank in the upper 9096 on their PSAT and be a minority. This nationwide competition is very well represented. We are proud of Corliss and hope the best for her future. Cindy Rinaman fpicture 21 is one of the Nationwide National Merit Scholar Finalists. To qualify, a person must rank in the upper 9096 on his PSAT scores. Cindy now qualifies for a scholarship at almost any college. The commended students, the stu- dents that were eligible to apply, are Carolyn Widman, Doug Nelson, Marcie Heep, Ann Gibson, Dennis Corrick, Susan Smith, Tern Beller, and Gregg Young. 1-H6535 BERCE The Joe Berg Seminars are national programs of enrichment in the fields of Science and Humanities. The members of these seminars are students who excel in these fields. They are selected by teachers and given the chance to take an entrance exam. After successful testing, appli- cants are accepted as members. These members meet every other week at Jacksonville University with a guest speaker to speak on their interests.
