Sometime during their young lives. most girls try to imagine what it would be like to be a queen. Mitzi Keeler was no exception but for her the dream came true when she was elected Wolfson's Homecoming Queen for I978. During an interview, Mitzi said, I think that all girls have dreamed about being a queen. When I was a little girl my dad used to call me his queen and when he found out I won. he was really excited. What was it like when Mitzi was announced as the l97S Homecoming Queen? Mitzi replied. l had been nervous all day, and when the time came for the announcement of who it would be. it seemed like an eternity. Then when they said my name, I was so excited that I gave my escort a big hug! After the initial excitement, Mitzi's first thoughts were of her peers in the stands. I wanted to know what everyone else was thinking and if the crowd was pleased that I had won. Mitzi realizes that being Homecoming Queen also entails responsibility. Her feelings were best summarized when she cheerfully remarked. I feel very proud to represent Wolfson and will do the best I can. SOPHOMORES 75
