Varsity Football ln August, the Wolfpack was picked to be one of the top teams in the state. The Pack lived up to this predic- tion with a fine 10-1 record. Early season victories over Sandalwood and Raines had the Pack ranked No. 7 in the State. ln our 3rd game we were upset by Forest. The Pack responded to the loss by ripping off 7 straight regular season victories scoring over 340 points for the season and playing excellent defense. The '76 Wolfpack will long be remembered for lt's outstanding season, and being a member of the '76 pack is something the coaches and players will always take great pride in. Hard Work Goes Into School Spirit And Pride First game of the season and a traditionally hard fought ball game. The Pack scored 25 points to Sandalwoods 7. Trailing by two points with time running out, the explosive Wolfpack offense erupted with a 47 yard bomb from Ernie Saltmarsh to Rookie Darryl Williams. This last minute drive enabled the Wolfpack to record its first win in recent years over the Raines Vikings in a Gator Bowl thriller--the final score ending up 28 points for the Wolfpack and 23points for thevikings.
