PEP CLUB The Pep Club is considered one of the most active clubs in the high school. Their main and most important job is to cheer the football and basketball teams on to victory. Football season is the best as far as outside activity is concerned. Before each football game, snake dances were held and dummies of the opposing team were burned in large bonfires. In 1950 the highlight of the basketball season was the trip to Great Falls. The Pep Club accompanied the basketball boys to the Class B tournament in which they participated the second consecutive year. On their return they were honored with a steak dinner. Each year the Pep Club issues awards to the girls who have been good members and have really worked for the club. The three senior girls who received four year awards are as follows: Audrey Birkland, Marilou Kurtz, and Mary Lou Lund. The girls who received two year awards are: Virginia Barnes, Patsy Green, Rose Kirk- patrick, Gladys Nelson, Delores Schmidt, Ardell Peters, Berniece Wilhelm, Polly Clary, Virginia Davis, Lorraine Berglund, Leone Durkin, Arlene Forsness, and Darlene Witt. The girls who received one year awards are: Alice Hentges, Marie Baker, Maria Krauth, Katherine Berreth, Kathleen Bowker, jean McCarthy, La Donna Moe, Lona Lee Montgomery, Gloria Neubauer, Delores Maier, Ardine Peters, Barbara Wilkinson, Darlene Sugden, and Marie Rothe.
