O R ORGANIZATIO Well-run student organizations are vital to the development of the talents of students and the growth of the school. Here are some of our Wolcott groups. The student librarians take heed to some advice given by the head librarian, Mr. Wheeler. Here he is explaining to them some of the hist- ory of the town of Wolcott. These students are in charge of the library during the periods that they are in study hall. The boy's father tries to help by giving his blessings and by talking to the girl's father, but all of this is to no avail. Only a dream of supernatural beings makes the father realize that he has not only failed his daughter and her fiance, but his whole family, and at the end of the play he has a change of heart and gives his blessings to the marriage and becomes completely involved in the welfare and happiness of his family. Terror Tripp, a former boxer, operates the House and is always leading his guests in exercises, whether they feel like it or not. Whinnie's right-hand man, Sylvester, is there also and the poor men finds himself being chased by two old maid aunts who think he is a famous diet doctor. When Whinnie's girl friend tells everyone he knows the answer, Whinnie is afraid that some crooks will get him to tell the answer. He is so afraid, that he disguises himself as his Aunt Lucretia Klondike from Alaska, a supposed rich woman with many gold mines. Soon two men of the resort start chasing Whinnie Qstill disguisedj in the hope of marrying her for her money. While Whinnie is playing this part, his girl friend arrives at the resort and he must be himself half of the time and the rich old aunt the other half. To top all of this off, two crooks came to the resort to steal the answer to the question, but ended up trying to steal the old maid's jewels. The play is touched off by the amateur detective work of Freck1es a I5 year old boy working at the House of Health. 4' , xx 3 Q-'31 :nr -9 'E htfv, s U ' ,. , .r v4 1 'wg Qs 3 kms ! 1 . I TO THE P The Wolcott House, home of Wolcott's founder, Anson Wolcott, and a symbol of the community. The 1908 members of the Wol- cott football team had a very im- pressive year. Although their uni- forms may be outdated and we don'r have the sport in our school at the present time, the school spirit was just as strong and alive then as it is today. This Ice Cream Parlor, once - perhaps a favorite meeting place after a Saturday night date, is now .Zhesf .Ze cream farlor in Me Counfy. These pictures from the 1908 year- book bring back fond memories to some Wolcott people. The 1908 annual was the last one published until 1947.
