Class H1story ln the year of 1947 we started our Journey through hlgh school To us thas was a big year and we were all afraid of our upperclassmen At our first class meeting we plcked to lead us ln the form of President James Kelser To help hmm as Vice Presldent Marjorxe DeMoss Joyce Jarrett was asked to keep records of what our class dad Dons Wagner was called upon to keep our money problems straxght as our Treasurer We chose a boy and a gxrl to represent our class in the Student Councxl They were Wayne S1gman and Waneta Dillon Mary Altman as our Class Reporter was to keep the newspapers informed of our domgs As we spent all our tlme 1n school studylng we wanted some time to v1s1t so we decided to have a couple of class partxes one ln the fall and one ln the sprmg The first semester we enjoyed so much that we agaxn went to a show the next semester This time we went to Lafayette Indiana and saw Sitting Pretty All the way down and comlng home xt ramed but we didn t mind gettlng a little wet As we were coming home we stopped at a little place for a bite to eat compliments of our sponsor Miss Dlbell Wxth Mass Dzbell to guide us we made nt through our hrst year at hugh We pand Sl 00 8 Semester for class dues We all enjoyed our summer vacation but as hfe must go on so must educatxon beszdes we missed our classmates and wanted to catch up on the latest boy frxends Thxs was 1948 and so l1ke last year we had to have class ofhcers Our new President was now Wayne Knockel wnth James Kexser as his ard for Vxce Pres1dent Our Secretary this year was to be Carol Glllen with Grace Mathew as Treasurer Student Council members were Bxllxe Morrxs who left us so James Pomdexter took over to help Margaret Wagner In this year we lost five classmates but were repaxd wxth four new ones to get acquamted with Those we lost Bxlhe Morrzs Joan Alkmre, Joan Bell Harold Marglson, and Johnny Sanford The new arrivals Rita Kupke, James Mills James Polndexter, and Wayne Lehman l4 l' 8 ' e- e ' en e n ' X' l' ' s I' E l' 's v X' I ' - re ' I , . . . . . , . . . . , . . . , ' . - .
