Bryce is the great debater of the class — that is, after he gets started. Here is the formula by which he starts : First, cover fore- head wdth frowns ; second, gaze at the ceiling; then gently raise his hand and at the same time lower his eyes. Rick is a great student; he reads much; when it comes to theological problems he is an authority. He haunts the library ; this is the cause of his fleshless figure. P. has been a faithful, silent worker while in college, and has devoured many books unknown to his fellow-students. He has a large heart, and nature surely was not parsimonious while endowing him with such a kindly disposition. 28
