This Joy and pride is shared by all of us as you, The Class of ' 83 enter a world of technology, computers, economic trends and social pressures more complex than prior graduates ever faced. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt said on April 23, 1942, We all know that books burn - yet we have the greater knowledge that books cannot be killed by fire. People die, said President Roosevelt, but books never die. He continued stating, No man or no force can abolish memory. Our hope, simply and briefly, is that you always use wisely the memory, skills and attitudes developed through your education in Woburn.
