PRESIDENT REES EDGAR TULLOSS A.B., B.D. Wittenberg College Pli.D. Harvard I Diversity D.D. Lenoire-Rhyne I.L.n. Muhlenberg College AS the preface tells the purpose of a hook, so Dr. Tulloss defines the purpose of Wittenberg College in our hook of Philosophy. It is up to him ro see that the hook will he well written, or the purpose ful- filled. This he does with amazingly fine results. A scholar himself, our president takes pride in giving honor to those who deserve it and encouraging it al- ways. Supplementing the many other characteristics he possesses, he is a good business man, which is made evident in the financial security Wittenberg enjoys. With pride and pleasure we say “Yes, that distinguish- ed man is our President”. ■ Page Twelve

DEAN c:. Ci. SHATZKR A. B.. A. M.. Sc. D. DEAN MISS IMMELL becomes an important part of a textbook of Philosophy because of her wise counsel and the interest she has in every phase of college. Our Dean is highly respected by the many women she personally contacts each year. WITTENBERG students have for twelve years enjoyed work under Dean Pershing. For the last five years the men on campus have profited by his advise and appreciated his under- standing. With ease he adds to our Philosophy book. Dean c. g. shatzer. a.b., A.M., Sc.D., in his role as dean of college may be likened to the Table of Content, for under his skillful guidance we are directed to every part of the book or every department of the college. His congeniality immedi- ately wins him friendship with every- one he meets. His students will tell you it is impossible to leave his classes without feeling the richer for having known the man as well as the teacher. OF AN RUTH IMMELL A.B., M.A. DEAN B. H.
