Certainly, they were the happiest days of our lives and we did enjoy them. But happy living is not all gaiety. As the clouds make the sunshine brighter, tears, anxiety, fear and countless other emotions are the essence of happy living. During our Junior year we experienced the shock and sadness of losing one of our ranks to death. We remember JoAnn Jensen in our halls, classrooms, and activities. The loss of JoAnn reminds us that 'each individual has a certain place among us. Her death saddened us all. She was part of our drama. At Wittenberg we see this drama and emotion portrayed in a thousand ways each hour, each moment, each year. We see both joy and despair in the faces of our students at report card time. The excitement at our games, the spirit at our pep assemblies, the tension of our elections, and the anticipation and joy as we chose our royalty, are moments we all shared between September and June. It is on these moments we have based the Wittonian. 3
