Whether you read this message as a future graduate, as an old grad, or as a member of the school district, it is hoped that you will enjoy the cross-sec- tion of high school life which this yearbook depicts. Members of the class of 1960: You have completed the requirements which have been set for you by the Board of Education. Now, school board members and teachers join with the entire community in offering congratula- tions. We hope that we have assisted you to gain a good, basic education, by furnishing the quality of instruction, the physical facilities, and the kinds of equipment so necessary in a modern, comprehensive high school. Many of you have participated in numerous school and civic projects, such as the Dedication of the new addition - November 18, 1958 - as,members of the Chorus, Band, or Student Council. Some of you have taken part in other school activities, such as athletics, forensics, dramaticsg perhaps you worked as a member of one of the several clubs and organizations which afford train- ing in citizenship. Your interest and cooperation throughout your school days have been appreciated. Responsibility now rests with you, as an individual, more than ever before. May you live in such a manner that you will bring only honor to yourselves, your families, your school and community. Congratulations! Best Wishes! Come back to visit us as often as you can. Yours very sincerely, D E ' E. B. Wickstrom Superintendent Qgitfengevg Scnoolu E. B. WICKSTROM, Supellnhndenl WITTENBERG. WISCONSIN Dear Students, After graduation from high school, there are many decisions to be made. These decisions will affect your economic, political, and social life. It is the hope of all at Wittenberg High School that you will be prepared to make these decisions with confi- dence that you are doing the right thing. Base your decisions on what is right for you and not what the crowd is doing. Sometimes you will have to be different and not just a conformist. The world needs the individual who will be different enough to be out- standing in his work. Individuals who have enthusiasm and ability have more opportunities to become a success than ever before. Seize the opportunity to make your mark in the world rather than becoming another number in the modern mechanized society. Your enthusiasm will mean the difference between success and failure. Congratulations, Seniors! You have reached your goal of high school graduation. May it be just another step in your climb toward success. Underclassmen, your graduation day will come before you know it. Make good use of your educational opportunities so you will be prepared, Use all your skills in school so when you begin your life work you won't have to say, I could do this if Ihad worked harder.
