Poetry, one-act play and storytelling were some of the things that went to state. Practices were fun, but the coaches had us come in during their classes and perform. A lot of hard work went into the prac- tices. The Sub-District Contest held here was a great turnout, even though we didn't win the trophy. State; we left school at 12:00 and got to Madison at 3:30. We looked all over the huge university for our rooms (found out it was in a different building). When we were finally up , our heads were spinning — trying not to forget a line, stomachs were like butterflies and we went on — we did it! ow 54 Row 1: V. Hubbard. J. Hubbard. K. Low. M. Dignan. J. We had more girls out for the team and were well balanced in the various areas in track and field. There was a total of 7 new records set compared to 4 records last year. The coaches Dave Ward and Ann Hawley wish to thank everyone who added to the track team and en- couraged any girl who likes to run to stay in shape to come out next year because we have the potential to be an even better leam. Since I found you. looking through the eyes of love. And now. I can take the time, I can see my life, as it comes up shining now. Reaching out to touch you. I can feel much, since I found you, looking through the eyes of love. And now. I do believe, that even in the storm we'll find some light, knowing you're beside me. I'm alright. Please don’t let this feeling end, it might not come again and I want to remember, how it feels to touch you, how I feel so much, since I found you. looking through the eyes of love. As summer passes thru my fingers I look back with a smile. Many moments I hold close; They have all been worthwhile. The shows at the outdoors, The many dances late at night, The picnics and the parties With bonfires burning bright. Homecoming with all its craziness And the wild time it all took. The special prom we hold so near Corsages still bound in my scrapbook. Finally, the solemn graduation With its only remains hanging from car mirrors.
