I 2 WAUSAU EAST The Charger girls traveled here for their opener. In their minds they were going to win. On the courts they saw their efforts fail as they were put down in disgust 0-9. WISCONSIN RAPIDS ASSUMPTION The girls traveled here. Most of the girls' efforts failed, but Julie Hoekstra came through to win. The team lost 1-8. GREEN BAY SOUTHWEST In spite of somewhat windy conditions, Mona Bauch and Colleen Hart, as a doubles team, topped the highlights with a win. Chargers lost 3-9. BAYPORT The girls held their first home match of the season. There was a somewhat numerous crowd watching the Charger girls try in vain. They lost, despite a win by Anne Meronk and Julie Liethen. Score 1-5. APPLETON EAST The girls are defeated here by the tough Appleton team: 1-11. BAYPORT They went to Bayport for their return match. Single players, Teri Melzer and Sherry Wierzba were the great winners. Laurie Shepel also played a good game as she fought to a tie that was called because of darkness. D. C. EVEREST The Chargers lost 1-8 with Shelly Schaar providing our only win. WAUSAU WEST The girls traveled here for a game they knew they could win, nevertheless they were conquered 2-7. Wins were by Laurie Shepel and Denise Szews. SHAWANO This was the girls’ ninth match of the season. They didn’t fair so well as they lost 0-9. WISCONSIN RAPIDS The Chargers lost despite a win by doubles team, Julie Liethen and Anne Mer- onk. GREEN BAY EAST The girls traveled here for their last regular season match. Score 0-7. SUB-SECTIONALS Julie Hoekstra was the only girl to win for W-B as they ended up with 2 points in the final total. 21

SHIOCTON The Chargers lost despite their gallant efforts. Final 0-2. BONDUEL It was the first home match ar.d a small crowd was there. Lori Liethen scored 9 points for our team. We lost 1-2. MANAWA Kathy Matz scored 6 points for the Chargers, nevertheless we lost 0-2. WAUTOMA Thersa Bork's 7 points helped the Charger effort, but they lost 0- 2. WEYAUWEGA Betty Emmel’s 9 points fired up the Chargers but they lost 0- 2. MARION The Charger girls came from behind for great victory, 2-1. SHIOCTON Miriam BigJohn had 9 points for the Chargers, but they failed 1- 2. •' - . BONDUEL Miriam BigJohn paced the Chargers to a 2-1 victory with her 11 points. MANAWA The girls had another win with Miriam scoring 9 points. Won 2-0. WAUTOMA The Chargers lost 0-2. Miriam scored 8 points. WEYAUWEGA Mary Korbisch gave the Chargers 19 points but that was not enough. They lost 1-2. MARION The Chargers lost. Mary scored 12 points. SUB-REGIONALS The Chargers played Auburndale and lost 1-2.
