To give students a non-verbal form of expression was the main purpose of the art and music courses. Wax batik 0n Cloth was a new process studied in art. The art staff was headed by Mr Mueller, assisted by Miss Hawes and Mr. Wilson. The per- Music Makers forming groups of music courses were Choir, band, orchestra, and Madrigal Singers. Functioning in school programs were Mixed Chorus and Girlsh Glee Club. Mr. Martin headed the music Staffwith Mr. OhRourke, Mr. Lackey and Mr. Curtis. Co-ordinalion ofihe lingers skimming the scale and oflhe eyes reading Lhe notes prepared band students for future musical study.
