F, I l l l The Seniors. '- After three ears of moderately hard work and ff' Y lots of fun you become a senior. As a freshman JVQI ' A 4x x 4 . A you gazed in open-mouthed awe at these exalted beings, but now you find that you're not so differ- -fm W' ent from anyone else. You don't expect freshmen .. A 9 to bow to you, you don't expect to be excused from boring classes once a week, and you don't expect to be first in lunch line-everyday. Actually the senior is lust a freshman three years older and the chances are that he will be a freshman again the next year, whether in the world of business or at college. His senior year will probably be the happiest year of his high-school life. By this time he will have made more' friends as a result of which his social life will be more pleasant. Then he will have more and better extra-curricular activities, and he will have that all im- portant feeling of belonging. While learning in school, he has learned to love the school itself, and it often comes as a surprise to him to find how difficult the parting is. The senior, too, seems to get more out of his school life in the way of actual facts learned. One reason for this is that he is soon to go on to a new way of life and he wants to have a good record behind him. Another reason is that he realizes more and more as he grows up the need for the best education he can possibly get. Being a senior is wonderful, but it is only a stepping-stone towards one's real goal in life. A ' . ww.. ' 2 1 ,, su, as r i ' F Q c 'f 3 ,gf rn' 3' flu 55 Mhifill 'L : 1 Q9 9:-:STI 2-si Y. - A i w..
