MISS MANN Mann is the com- assistant to the of girls. Her extra- activities directing the Vic- Corps projects, and ldvising Tip-Toppers. MISS HALL Helping students secure educational and occupa- tional information and encouraging intelligent self-evaluation and wise planning are the coun- selor's challenging tasks. MISS MURPHY The question, Oh Where, oh where has that little girl gone ? is a common one in Room 122 Where Miss Murphy reigns su- preme as dean and friend of the freshman girls. MR. VIGARD In addition to perform- ing his duties as a teacher of physiology, Mr. Vig- ard acts as advisor of freshman boys, helping them to get a good start in high school life. MISS ALLEN Fha Martha Allen of Iandy Shop fame, a new- :omer to the secretarial Ltaff this year, busies lerself with transcripts, nfficial correspondence, md the daily bulletin. MISS HOEFLE The responsibilities of Mr. Peoples' secretary are numerous and in- clude securing and keep- ing the complete records of students and compil- ing the lists of graduates. 'W , K , MISS BERLING This former business manager of the Withrow Annual, who graduated in 1943, now helps to keep things going in the Junior High where she is assistant to Mr. Wilbur. MISS CRAMER Diligent secretary to Mr. Cadwallader, c om p i l e s eligibility lists, checks absence reports, and issues excuses or deten- tions to late arrivals, as the case may be.

Mr. Cadwallader ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL Mr. Cadwallader, assistant principal, finds that his duties as dean of boys and caring for detailed ofiice Work consumes much of his time. Mr. Cad also sponsors Sigma Gamma and maintains a keen interest in sports. He is president of the Y. M. C. A. night school and secretary of the regional Teacher's Association. Mr. 'Wilbur ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL Mr. R. G. Wilbur, Assistant Principal in charge of the Junior High School, Was, twenty-five years ago, a cadet in the United States Army. A great part of the success of Little WithroW's patriotic endeavors is due to his keen interest and guidance. It is his aim to maintain for his juniors the same high standards of Big Withrow.

The faculty at Withrow has guided a generation of students on the pathway to knowledge Second Row MISS BAEHR- This French teacher with 25 years experience l o v e s to travel, keep house, cook, and tell amusing stories. Third Row MISS BLASBERG- After teaching gym likes to read mystery stories, sleep late on Saturday, and prepare packages for overseas mail. Fourth Row MR. BRUBAKER- Teacher of chemistry, likes movies and good magazines, when he is not busy in his laboratory. MISS BAHR- A teacher of commercial and social subjects and business advisor of Tower News col- lects famous paintings. MR. BEHRMAN- The music department's loss was the Marines' gain as Doc answered the call to arms, taking his basic train- ing at Parris Island. MISS CAMPBELL- Teacher of English enjoys reading current books, non- fiction preferred, and travel by air. MR. BAKER- Finds carpentry and wood- work bring relaxation after a day of teaching algebra and chemistry. MISS BOWMAN- Math teacher, a Red Cross driver, is learning motor me- chanics, likes bowling, knitting and motoring. MR. ENDRES- Junior High Woodwork teacher, builds special furni- ture, cares for chickens, and travels during his spare time. 18 First Row MISS BERESKIN- Junior High teacher, who spe- cializes in teaching her pupils to read with understanding, enjoys all kinds of athletics. MISS ANSHUTZ- English teacher, enjoys the drama, reading and traveling. MISS ATKINS- English teacher, likes ama- teur movies, politics. reading, and after the war hopes to go to Europe. MISS BISCEGLIA- This commercial teacher and former member of the Na- tional Academy of Music en- joys symphonies and operas. MRS. BAKER- Baseball and bridge are sec- ond only to mathematics for this Junior High School teacher. MISS BRAUNECKER- English teacher, spends her spare time delving into bird- study and geology. MISS CAVEMAN- A teacher of history and sponsor of Tower-Y spends her spare time in the garden or swimming pool.
