Brave men are needed, stout-hearted men who prefer to die free rather than to live enslaved. This is the way score upon score of Withrow students, teachers, and graduates have felt. They have taken their places shoulder to shoulder with other men and women of action who are determined to defeat the Axis, who are not only remembering Pearl Harbor but are doing something about it. They have decided that this is their war and the armed services need their help, for all the warships and fighting planes that America can produce count for nothing without the men to man them-skilled men who know their iobs- fighting men who want action-patriots who love their country as all true Americans should. They are the real heroes, who ask nothing greater than the chance to help win this war, and the opportunity to show that they have the stuff to do it.
