WISDOM'S 77 PIONEER YEARBOOK THEME: TOMORROW 2 TOMORROW Sunlight gleams through my window Reflections dancing upon the floor. A new day has begun. Memories of yesterday Still fresh in my mind. Doubts of what is to come, still in the morrow, Dreams of tomorrow touch my soul. Awareness of the world around me Spinning, endless through time. My senses have been awakened to the new day, The new me, The melodious song of the bird on my window pain Brings hope to my soul. Night surrounds me, Spirnkles of starlight up above, Tired feet and restless thoughts, Misty visions of tomorrow soon carry me away. At peace once more, Grateful that the sun will rise again Tomorrow. By Debbie Plourde 3 TIME Time . . . ii slips by with a whisper. You laugh, you cry. And suddenly it's gone, and you realize it can never be again. For time never ceases ... It stops for no one. It moves on like a shadow on a lonely street corner. like a raindrop rolling down a window pane. It's here; then it disappears. by Elaine Labrie 5 6 A DREAM OF TOMORROW Time was, time is, time will be, Time is forgotten . . . I stood there, alone, And found time had stopped. Just for a moment . . . It was gone. Then it came back. I found myself in a tunnel With colors flooding the walls At the end; there was a door . . . A small, while door. I turned the knob and . . . It was locked. Tomorrow is but a dream. by Denise Michaud 7 8 TOMORROW The sound of waves pondering unto the rocks. The soft wind blowing, The cry of a seagull far off in the distance, A continuous flow of nature time after time. The clouds come and go. The sun rises then sets. The dawning of a new day Brings the dusk of Tomorrow; An eternity in nature reveals Tomorrow is forever. by: Yvette Clavette 9 10 TOMORROW Tomorrow is a fleeting time in life, for it becomes today, then yesterday; yet, it is a time to experience joy look forward to share your life care for others dream new dreams realze ambitions make more friends experience sorrow think new thoughts eventually grow old and remember the past. by: Patsy Martin n 12 TOMORROW Reaching grasping the thought won't let go Standing here I see you you see me similar in our ways Believe in me play your music, strum your words tomorrow can only refuse cannot stop you Don’t seek revenge the future won't hold you fly with the wind seek your direction I am the wind; follow me Emphasize the thought speak your terms stand high by your own influence I only need tomorrow for tomorrow states my time. 13 by: Lisa Dumais M TOMORROW When you are down and have the blues, Boggled by problems you want to lose, You start to think of other places Where things are worse with other faces Of different times when people feared Of wars that passed as others neared. You think of people near and far, Their problems, many that leave a scar. Don't stan to fret or cry in sorrow; Think of this - there's still tomorrow. by: Andre Ouellette 15 16 TOMORROW Laugh! Crash! Glitter! Excitement of it all, So nice to dream, Impatiently wonder. Out . . . crafty pretensions hold no ground for they are superficial and simple. Their only cause is extending our ignorance, and quickly enough it will outlast the purpose. Time is our need, Tomorrow our desire. With grand minds and great dexterity, goals and dreams to be uncovered will be . . . by: Lisa Dumais 17 TOMORROW As I wandered into the past, Searching aimlessly, I got lost in a vast expanse of nowhere, Searching aimlessly, Walking but going nowhere, Searching aimlessly, As it came to me, Walking towards the light, That there is a purpose, Walking towards the light, For Tomorrow. by: Donna Lee Morin 19 20 TOMORROW When in doubt Look about. See what's there to see. Hear what’s there to hear, Find what's there to find, Know what's there to know. And when all of this is done, Praise yourself for it ’Cause tomorrow may not be better by: Andre Ouellette 21 TOMORROW Search my friend For it is a long and hard road. You must not pretend; Your burdens are a heavy load. Life is slow To find what you call right. You have to know There is always hope in sight. It will linger, Looking, but not locating, To see the future, To know what you are finding. To see through me Is one of your hardest tasks. For what you see Is only one of my many masks. You will never know, But you must not be in sorrow. Your knowledge in me will grow, For I am Tomorrow. by: Ronald Gagnon 23 24 WINTER CARNIVAL QUEEN KING THE NIGHT AIR FILLS THIS DREAMWORLD WITH A SPIRIT OF ANTICIPATION FACES ON THESE PAGES REVEAL THE EXCITEMENT WITHIN A ROMANTIC EVENING REFLECTING MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY AND HOPEFUL IMAGES OF TOMORROW. . . It silently moves behind Mysterious dark trees of yesteryear Burning into an onlooker's mind One last clear memory Of the joys and sorrows he's known.
