That day sped swiftly by. To be followed by weeks And years, enlarging Our world from day to day with Trials and successes along the way, Until, all too soon We realized we'd leave This academic shelter for another. It's not always easy to understand How fate thrusts its hand Into our lives, But we learned to cope, And not lose hope; We learned to lose the game And cheerfully try again, Respecting each other's rights To dissent, and still be friends. And now, as we gaze Toward the horizons, A new world beckoning on, We thank our friends and teachers, With this, our heartfelt song. The publication of this yearbook would not have been possible if it weren’t for understanding teachers who were lenient and thoughtful enough to excuse students to sell ads for the yearbook and for the many interruptions when pictures were being taken. We wish to acknowledge Mr. John E. Norton, photo- grapher, of the Department of Economic Development, Augusta, for the transparency which made possible our End Sheets. All in all, the completion of the yearbook was the re- sult of the joint effort of the faculty, students, and the Yearbook Staff Members.
