A university is a place where man can defy popularly held concepts in his search for truth, because the institution does not exist to make a profit, propogate a set of constant values or bend before public pressures . . . It is a place of turmoil and intellectual ferment because man in the university is not content with what is but seeks what ought to be. fDr. John A.
