Dear Students: Graduation from high school is a significant occasion in one's life. It signals a commitment to personal growth which is full of hope and based on a solid foundation of knowledge. I speak not only to this year's graduating class, but to all of you at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf when I say that a high school diploma is truly a key which will open the doors to your future. In reflecting upon your years in school, I hope you remember the challenges. Think for a moment about something that was once difficult for you and i6 now a simple act which you accomplish easily. That is learning. Often the things which serve us the best are the hardest to learn and take the most discipline and concentration. But mastering those skills also brings a great sense of joy and a high level of personal fulfillment. You have overcome obstacles in your life; and you are equipped with the skills necessary to continue with courage, optimism and integrity. There are many who care about you. We share your dreams and encourage you to reach out and shape your world. There are no limits on what you can do. In a sense, you set your own boundaries for what you will achieve. Very best wishes to you in all you do. Your family, your teachers, your friends and I are proud of you. SENIOR ISSUE 3
